John P. Lamborn Sr. (Jack) entered the flexible duct industry in 1961, bringing innovation, leadership, and a commitment to quality that helped shape the industry. He founded JP Lamborn Co. in Fresno, CA, followed by Norflex in San Jose to expand distribution.
In the late 1960s, Jack merged both companies into General Environment Corporation (GEC) to serve a national market. In 1980, Jack and his son John left GEC to re-establish JP Lamborn Co. — now known as JPL.
Despite initial skepticism, JPL quickly grew into one of the West Coast’s largest flex duct manufacturers. In 1997, John’s son Jason joined the company and now serves as President.
Today, JPL operates four modern facilities across the U.S. and is known for its quality, innovation, and over 60 years of industry success.
